The black screen of the sleepless nights is coloured and David Lynch invites himself in with his strange settings inspired by Giorgio de Chirico. The colours saturate, the flowers diffract, the patterns shift, the dogs have yellow and pink reflections, a blurred face could be a character glimpsed on the screen, the Indian woman's curtains blend with the bright tiles, like flashes of time and colour. Vermilion, viridian green bordering on blue, neon yellow, peach pink and graphite fill the entire screen.

Who has never pressed a flower between the pages of a book? We discover these marvelous, slightly faded colors a few years later to remind us of a happy summer. Forest animals hide behind trees while flowers dance. Giant birds take flight, their wings are the colors of autumn landscapes. Moths shimmer softly in the dark. Tones of dark khaki greens, cedars, absinthe, night blues, violet and gold with an earthy red and an orchid enhance this richly-colored story.

A couple in a traditional outfit enter into a lively dance, tapestries are passed from

generation to generation, village inhabitants affectionately hug each other. Chickens run

freely and happily, a blue horse is decorated with flowers while other flowers brush

cheerfully over calves. Reds, orange, blues, greens, peach pink, yellow ochre and a palette

of browns animate this Eastern European story.

The sea, the sun, an island, perhaps Crete, an eternal décor… A determined goddess straddles a bull, musicians play a lyre and flute to celebrate the marble goddess. Swallows joyously undulate through the sky, savoring the precious scent of mimosa while flying fish play in the frothy blue. On an ancient map, islands take on the form of a fish. A barefoot dance on an ancient, cool tile floor. Cobalt, slate and Aegean blues, ochres with a touch of buttercup yellow… the colors of an ancient Mediterranean summer.
