Leona Rose

A beautiful collaboration by Leona Rose expressing her colorful universe for Bonne Maison around the four elements. Leona Rose is a young contemporary artist, painter, muralist but overall, a visual storyteller. Her work is a vibrant mixture of pop colors and joyful shapes and animals. She carries out numerous decoration projects as well as design, and notably through her interior decoration brand, Guru del Sol, where she offers wallpaper and ceramics. She also collaborate with major brands, and she declines her creations on different media (large-scale murals, installations, furniture, daily objects) according to her ever-changing creative mindset.

Petit Trianon

Birds nest in her high powdered and colorful chignon, cascades of fruit, the sweetness of meringues spill over her table. She gladly pays visits to her trailing attendants, the lambs of the Queen’s Hamlet Farm. One might also find her lost in the symmetry of the Petit Trianon gardens. Who is she ? Surrounded by a palette of pinks—bud, peach, bright, dried, a faded red, and a port—and greens— lichen, lime, avocado, moss, cactus—with a touch of pale yellow

Eventail

Tropical heat, the pleats of a fan, the scales of a pineapple, and those of the great boa. In the toucan’s beak, its wings unfurled, a fruit plucked from the forest in blazing colors. Fish drift away in the river’s stripes, sought by dragonies with iridescent blue wings. So many colors juxtaposed—shades of red, burgundy, orange, pinks and greens : Ocean, Moss, Lime, and a contrasting false black.

Faux Semblant

Everything feels just a bit too perfect—zenithal light, dark sunglasses, poolside, sipping a Blue Lagoon, and the smooth white sheen of calla lilies. A field of sunflowers as far as the eye can see, two clouds, and a little red tractor remind us the tomatoes are perfectly ripe. The checks of the suit, the stripe of the tie. Don’t forget your bow tie— to keep up the perfect illusion. The bold colors of David Hockney meet the unsettling world of David Lynch. Vermilion, azure, Ming green, mint, and sulfur yellow, with the intense blue of Mykonos.

Boreal

From the window of a log cabin in the depths of a far northern forest, as dusk heralds the fall of the night, keep watch for the northern lights. Further afield, the dark blue shadows of wild animals lengthen across the pack ice. An Inuit mask celebrates the importance of the sun. Snug as a bug, the animals of the forest gather on a sock. Big round flowers resemble oranges. Shades of Mykonos blue, emerald greens and a palette of orange and golden yellow hues lend a 70’s feel to the picture.

La Cueillette

Deep in the forest, in the dead of night, lanterns glow red in the dark. Could such beautiful mushrooms be poisonous ? Could the apples be bad ? Do the women in the glowing light posses magical powers ? Are the leafed hands that gather the holly berries somewhat medicinal ? A fruitfull harvest of reds and greens, shaded with greys, blacks ?

Le Bois

Turtles dove parade their feathers. Liken dresses the tree trunks in shimmering colors, oak leaves dancing on the wind. Autumn treasures take refuge in the undergrowth...
