Les Vagues

A little tribute to Virginia Woolf, but mostly to curves, those of the waves, of the feminine body or those of a light ribbon happily climbing on the leg and also the curves of a face, iris flowers, snails, Jean Arp’s camouflages.
This story is sweet and round, the round of small monkeys having fun amidst the flowers and butterflies brings a mischievous touch.
Matisse’s here, drawing lively bodies in a single stroke, an allusion to Modigliani, and the graphic touch of the bicolores.
Umber, Denim and Night blue basis, a touch of old pink and honey yellow, cinnamon brown and elephant grey brightened by touches of blood orange, cobalt blue and buttercup yellow.
